Hard to do receptacle AB test as normally need at least two weeks to burnt in to achieve best sound... So after reading Bro watch dog review of the few receptacle on distributor  https://hificafe.sg/forum/index.php?topic=260.0  , I just pick one that think will best suited for my system. So far I think Furutech receptacle is quite matching to my system.

I actually have one pcs of Oyaide R1, may be will try switch to it and test. Actually I have been using the Oyaide R1 on MTS6 for a long time, I just think the vocal mid range sound thin, that is why change to Furutech. But if you want try Furutech receptacle, must use the NCF type... recommend by one of hifi kaki.

even after fully burnt in, it would be laborious to change the wall receptacles. Guessing the easiest way to compare would be to connect them to a good quality neutral distributor and compare sound characteristics.

Have been on Maestro receptacles for over 5 years. was also fancying an upgrade. Really liked the bro wathdog's Furutech sound in a short listen. not sure will enjoy it in the long term. Also it seems insanely expensive here. Need to get from Japan.

yes, using a quality neutral distributor to compare is the best way like what Watchdog has done. and I base my buying on their recent evaluation here and decide which receptacles sound characteristic I like.

https://hificafe.sg/forum/index.php?topic=260.0

Anyway after further listen session on the receptacles , this is my take on the receptacles:

SINE , SW-2LP US(Platinum )
Vocal is nice as it place the singer more forward and you can pinpoint the vocal image very clearly, this mid range vocal is essential to music. The high frequency range is nice for jazz music enjoy as you can hear all the high frequency details, but if you system is already on the bright side, then this receptacles may not be suitable as it will give too much treble. Bass control is the weak link here as not as tightly control. Sound stage depth and width is quite ok. receptacles come with the aluminum face plate so is cost saving here.

Furutech GTX-D NCF
Vocal image is place further behind so it gives more image depth perception. Bass control is good as tightly control the bass woofer. High frequency details is very well present and is very sweet sounding, will not get listening fatigue. Bad is very expensive here and best to buy it from amazon Japan, also does not match with SINE aluminum face plate, end up I need to buy another face plate to match it.

I will change to the Oyaide R1 later to compare and will update back on this thread in future.

Bro JB, did you get a chance to compare with R1/R0? I was considering changing Maestro to R0..although i hear that it might be v similar sound to Maestro

If I may gentleman. Yes all this little upgrades will affect sound but for me I would make such changes
only when system has been optimised. Take it as a flavoring added to the recipe.

Cheers

Have been on these receptacles for 5-6 years. Entire system changed over the years. Most recent was BAC & and China FE clones.

Agree. A change of receptacle ain't gonna make or break a system. Best to get everything dialled-in nicely and then make the outlet change as the icing on top of the cake.
